Become a Deal Scout 🕵️‍♂️

Trust is the foundation of SnapDosh. To ensure no one wastes a trip chasing a deal that no longer exists, we created the Deal Scout system.

How does scouting work?

If you see a deal in the feed that is incorrect, you can "flag" it. There are several reasons for this:

  • Out of Stock: The store no longer has the item.
  • Incorrect Price: The price on the shelf is different from the one advertised.
  • Expired Deal: The promotion has already ended.
  • Spam or Offensive Content.

The Consensus Process 🤝

To prevent anyone from flagging deals unfairly, SnapDosh uses a community consensus system:

  1. A deal receives initial reports.
  2. When it reaches a threshold (e.g., 5 reports), it becomes pending for voting.
  3. Other users (scouts) vote on whether they agree with the report or not.
  4. If consensus is reached (70% agreement), the deal is removed or marked as expired.

Scout Rewards 💎

Being an active scout is one of the fastest ways to climb the ranking:

  • Validation Bonus: Earn extra points when your flags or votes help clean up the feed.
  • Integrity: Scouts with a high accuracy rate gain more relevance on the platform.

Penalties for Fake Deals ⚠️

Posting fake or intentionally incorrect deals harms everyone. Therefore, when a deal is removed by the scouting system, the post's author loses status points and may have their account suspended in cases of recidivism.
